Why we like it

We've sprouted in the past, but this simplifies the process and produces nutritious sprouts every few days. We like it because it's:

  • Compact

  • Stackable

  • Easy to water

It also helps sprouts grow faster than I've ever seen before. We keep this going nearly non-stop so we can have "live" food every day of the week.

How this seed sprouted impacts our prepping efforts

Food can be scarce in SHTF situations and fresh greens even more-so. We feel confident that with an efficient sprouter and seeds in our storage, we can continue to get the vital greens and nutrients we need when we're forced to take on a more basic diet. Having this option in addition to our gardening, foraging, and food-storage will help us make the most of our resources and stay healthy doing it.
