Why we like it
This wash basin was invaluable to us during a family emergency when we—and 14 family members who were visiting—got snowed in for eight days. Our well couldn't keep up and we were melting and boiling snow to wash our dishes for the duration. I cannot imagine the extra workload of melting snow if we'd had to fill up a large sink, or the awkwardness of using bowls that didn't sit flat in the sink side-by-side. We've been in several emergency situations on our property already and have been able to use these as we would in a SHTF situation. For example:
We're able to haul these out to the rain barrel with easy-to-carry handles.

We can unscrew the drain cap to release the dirty water and hold back debris.
We can pull the cap entirely for quick draining of everything.
